Very few people want to face the reality of death because it is such an unknown. How do you even begin to wrap your head and heart around the fact that we are all mortal? Stressful emotions we experience include: fear, anger, sadness, and depression, when we realize this life doesn’t go on forever. Or does it in some way or another? Ken Breniman puts the much-avoided conversation about death on the table, where in a safe space, we can explore, question, and learn new awareness about living with equanimity and integrity each and every day we are alive. While daunting at first, Ken unpacks the subject of mortality through his thanatological-oriented yoga practice. His methods are liberating and empowering. Bring your existential pondering onto the mat as we sit, move, and breathe. Do our own lives have to go on forever? Will our energy remain in the universe?
No previous yoga experience is necessary, but do bring all of your life experiences to the workshop. Ken will guide us through a series of safe and supportive yoga practices and inspiring interactive experiential exercises.
The wonderment, comfort, and grace gained in this workshop can be taken with you off the mat in order to experience a more mindful and courageous life.
