Is death something to be feared or celebrated? Join us for a very special Sketchpad Gallery group show, "The Good Death" - an open conversation about the end of life. Also joining us is Morgan Brown, creator of "Conversations I Wish I Had" - a traveling pop-up phone booth for people to speak to someone in their life who has died.

Storytelling — visual, textual, and the powerful combination of the two in comic form — is an effective and healing medium for exploring extreme situations and the emotions they create. This exhibit will feature comic art that tells stories of experiences with life-limiting illness, acute care medical decision making, dying, and death. Exhibit runs from April 11-29.

End of Life: A Theatrical Exploration of Death, Dying, and Suffering

End of Life presents readings of Sophocles’ ancient Greek plays to spark a community conversation about death, illness, and the challenges faced by patients, families, caregivers, and medical professionals. The performance by award-winning actors Frances McDormand and David Strathairn will culminate in a town hall discussion about palliative and end-of-life care.
