Turning Tragedy into Triumph and the Power to Forgive
Hosted by Leimert Park
This writing workshop explores triumph over tragedy. Host Donald Lacy shares his experience of healing from devastating grief and how we can all move towards forgiveness and restorative justice.
After his first-born daughter–who was a peace activist and conflict resolution meditator– was murdered at the age of 16 in a shooting, Donald Lacy founded the LoveLife Foundation to honor her life and legacy. This organization offers anti-violence youth advocacy and training, and its core mission is to help people forgive. In this workshop, participants will be encouraged to explore forgiveness as a powerful tool that will release the victim and the perpetrator.
