An afternoon workshop for those in the animal care fields. We will explore building and strengthening resilience through movement, meditation and ritual.
Old age, sickness and death are as constant for those in animal care as puppies, kittens and wellness exams. The suffering of people caring for animals in clinics, shelters, rescues and fosters is an often overlooked and unspoken reality that can lead to burnout, compassion fatigue, PTSD, secondary trauma response, and suicide. Building resilience in the face of suffering can help to support well-being.
In this workshop we will use gentle movement, meditation and ritual to explore practices to build and strengthen resilience.
This event is free. Suggested donation $5 - 20.
Venue access is down 12 stairs. Light vegan refreshments will be served.
