Designing for Death: Immersive Experiences for End of Life

Designing for Death: Immersive Experiences for End of Life
Explore the practice of creating beautiful experiences for loved ones as a way of honoring them, creating lasting memories, and integrating their transition.

In this interactive workshop we’ll explore the practice of creating beautiful, immersive experiences as a way of honoring our loved ones.

These experiences may be an act of service for someone who is still with us, a way of paying tribute to someone who has died, or a way of helping a community integrate the loss of someone they cared for. Together we’ll reflect on our relationships, discuss key questions and tools, and create a moving experience for someone we care about.

The workshop will run for 2 hours, with the option to stay an additional half hour at the end to continue designing and to be in community.

Katie Green is a certified death doula, experience designer, and licensed professional counseling intern living in Austin, TX.
