Foundations of Mindful Caregiving, October 26-27

Foundations of Mindful Caregiving, October 26-27
A deep immersion into time-tested practices for cultivating mindfulness and compassion in caregivers to maintain healthy and sustainable relationships through challenging times.

Zen Hospice Project's two-day Foundations of Mindful Caregiving Course is a comprehensive exploration into end-of-life care. The Foundations course integrates subjects such as cultivating mindfulness for engaged care, the five virtues of mindful communication, and the three pillars of self-compassion. We also examine personal loss, barriers to expressing compassion, and the importance of self-care.

This course supports caregivers in staying grounded, embodying patience and building resiliency. This practice also inspires the courage to be honest and the resolve in acting and reacting conscientiously.

This course addresses concerns in the daily life of a caregiver, this is a deeper journey into the self. The program includes meditation, self-reflection, writing exercises, experiential activities, personal dialogs and group sharing. Diving within like this not only reveals our ideal caregiver, but also brings out our best selves as we navigate the complexities of life.

Whether you are someone who is new to the role of caregiver, a veteran nursing professional, or someone just looking to develop a mindfulness practice to foster genuine connection, the Foundations course will either launch or further evolve your journey of mindful living.

The Foundations of Mindful Caregiving is special in serving as a peaceful retreat, a chance to deeply bond with like-minded people, and an opportunity for profound personal growth.
