Let's Talk Loss: An Open House with Josie’s Place

Josie’s Place is founded on the belief that all children deserve the opportunity to grieve in a supportive and understanding environment.

Our groups offer children new ways of understanding themselves and their loss, help build self-esteem, and strengthen their resilience. Parents or caregivers meet in concurrent groups. Because the whole family is supported, family ties are often strengthened as members grow together through their shared grief.

At our open house, you will learn about the grief support groups we offer free of charge to youth ages 5-18. We will also show a video on how adults can assist and support youth in their grief process.

Children and teens are welcome to join and will have the opportunity to meet our staff and some of our group facilitators They can experience creative expression activities to support emotional expression.
