Life, Death and Conflict: Swords into Ploughshares

Life, Death and Conflict: Swords into Ploughshares
Changes that arise as we confront death can create conflict in our relationships. In this hands-on workshop we’ll explore new ways to talk to each other about these conflicts.

Change can bring about conflict. The changes that arise as we confront death are no exception.

In this hands-on workshop we’ll explore new ways to talk to each other about the conflicts that arise with others when we consider our own mortality. We’ll identify classic triggering situations and the real interests at play, which often masquerade as facts and typically stand in the way of finding an amicable solution to a conflict. Then we’ll put everything we uncover front and center and brainstorm together about possible solutions.

The program also includes an introduction to mediation which is a confidential, cost-effective forum used in solving conflicts. We’ll break into small groups and apply what we’ve learned to test case scenarios with which we can all identify, with plenty of time for Q and A and feedback.

Facilitated by Marcy Einhorn. Marcy spent an entire career in traditional conflict resolution forums and now provides alternative methods for resolving conflicts.
