REMEMBRANCE

Hosted by WISE HEALTH

REMEMBRANCE
Experience an evening of remembrance and celebration, as we openly express our personal and cultural experiences with the dying process. Enjoy an evening of dialogue, art and wine.

Often times you hear stories of death happening in a sudden and tragic way. But there are stories that provide a different experience that can incorporate dignity, culture, love, care and so much more. Join us as we share stories, eat, sip and remember our loved ones that have transitioned before us. This is an open mic event feel free to read a poem, sing, play a tune, dance or whatever your heart desires.

Together we will create a community quilt, with a tile dedicated to your loved one. The quilt portion is optional and it does require a photo submission prior to the event. To participate, you will have to bring an up close head shot of your loved one looking forward. Click for examples. The final product will be hung at the Dept. of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS).

This event is an experience to be enjoyed by all! Seats are very limited, RSVP today.
