Soul Showers: A Serenade for Survivors

Soul Serenades is brought to you by Indigo Mateo and Soul Showers. Indigo Mateo is a Jersey-risen vocalist who creates art for the world to heal and transform. Soul Showers is a space where survivors of sexual violence cleanse shame and 'heal in the sun.' We live in a culture where sexual violence, harm and trauma has been normalized, so why not normalize the healing we require after going through it? Why not normalize the ways of being that will end rape culture?

Join us at EastSide Arts Alliance for a night of soothing serenade, therapeutic elements, dancing, and community. Indigo Mateo will lead group exercises that will promote healing practices, and community guests will provide information and resources that will encourage event goers in their healing processes.
