The LGBTQ+ community faces some unique challenges when requiring care from the available resources. This event educates and informs both the community itself and the caring community on what is required to receive LGBTQ+ appropriate care in end of life organizations.
Through discussion of Cheryl Jones' experience in this area and the novel she wrote capturing that experience (An Ocean Between Them) participants will leave with a more in depth view of how to offer and receive appropriate care.
