Designing Death: Experience Design for the End of Life

Behind every grief, there is a wish full of deep longing and great love. Even if the wish cannot be fulfilled, I believe that person-centered experiences can honor the spirit of the wish, as well as the dignity and individuality of the person.

In this interactive workshop we’ll explore the practice of creating beautiful, immersive experiences as a way of honoring our loved ones.

These experiences may be an act of service for someone who is still with us, a way of paying tribute to someone who has died, or a way of helping a community integrate the loss of someone they cared for. Together we’ll reflect on our relationships, discuss key questions and tools, and create a moving experience for someone we love.
