Designing Person-Centered Experiences at the End of Life

Designing Person-Centered Experiences at the End of Life
Explore the practice of using person-centered design to create beautiful, meaningful experiences for loved ones as a way of honoring them, creating lasting memories, and integrating their transition.

Behind every grief, there is a wish full of deep longing and great love. Even if the wish cannot be fulfilled, person-centered experiences can honor the spirit of the wish, as well as the dignity and individuality of the person.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore the practice of creating beautiful, immersive experiences as a way of honoring our loved ones. This workshop will be equally useful for those who wish to apply these principles to their own legacy projects.

These experiences may be an act of service for someone who is still with us, a way of paying tribute to someone who has died, or a way of helping a community integrate the loss of someone they cared for. Together we’ll reflect on our relationships, discuss key questions and tools, and create a moving experience for someone we love using experience design principles.
