Drafts and Directives: Advance Care Planning
Join Peaceful Presence End of Life Doulas as we relax with a cold drink and talk about a traditionally heavy topic in a light-hearted, compassionate way.
We believe advance care planning is important for all adults, at all times, and in the midst of the pandemic, we see just why.
What is an End-of-Life Doula? Someone trained to support a dying person and their family with conversation, preparation, education and bedside presence.
What is an Advance Directive? A legal document in which a person (18 and older) specifies which actions should be taken for their health if they are not able to make decisions for themselves because of illness, injury or incapacity.
We will discuss different types of advance directives and guide you in finding out what's appropriate for you, as well as inspire ways to have this important conversation with those you care about.
