Final Passages in Age of COVID-19:Remaking Rituals that Work
What can we do to honor a loss during the pandemic? How can we create ceremony and ritual to tend to our grief and express our mourning?

How are people remembering their loved ones without an in-person gathering for a funeral, memorial, or celebration of life? Join us for a conversation with Jerrigrace Lyons and Sally Shannon, as they explore these questions and share examples from their communities.

Jerrigrace Lyons is a minister, death midwife, educator, home funeral guide, and Reiki Master. She founded the educational nonprofit organization Final Passages in 1995 to inform people about little known funeral options, natural death care rights and practicalities, green burial, and the benefits of bringing funerals back into the home and family care. She is the author of Creating Home Funerals.

Sally Shannon, M.A., teaches with Final Passages and has a private practice as a Home Funeral Guide, Coach, and Consultant. She is passionate about Advance Health and Death Care Planning based on personal values. Sally’s mantra is “Live Like You’re Dying; Die Like You’re Living” ©.
