It is so tempting to compare our grief with others, and discount it by saying “I’m fine, there are so many other people who are suffering, have it worse than me, or are even dying.” While this might be true, your suffering is real, and your physiology responds to a threat (or perceived threat) in the same way. Difficult feelings arise, you feel the body sensations of stress. If left unattended, your grief and suffering can put you in a place of heightened anxiety where you can get stuck.
In this workshop you will learn how to recognize the emotions of grief and suffering, and how to bring compassion to yourself during this difficult time. We will be using a combination of exploration, meditation and movement to help you respect and own your grief and suffering, help you navigate through it, and move it out of your body. An InterPlay® & InnerAlly® inspired event.
