To The Muse: Film Screening and Q&A with Filmmakers
To The Muse is a 16-minute narrative film shot in Cuba and screened internationally at a variety of film festivals. Created by a group of friends who believe that shared human emotions transcend cultural boundaries and the possibility of creative hope, no matter the situation. Humans are all vulnerable to a diverse array of experiences. As a result, we feel. Feelings connect us in a uniquely natural way, a human way, a way that cannot be captured in words or images alone. This is what it means to be human, to be creative.
Bound by fear and led by the whisper of his muse, a young Cuban musician discovers the power of forgiveness as the key to his creative freedom. In order to forgive, he must venture on a sobering journey of self-discovery, exploring the pain of broken relationships, the loss of loved ones, and the fear of an uncertain and changing future.
