Under the Strawberry Moon- an evening of music for the soul

Hosted by Jennifer Gasoi

Under the Strawberry Moon- an evening of music for the soul
Join Grammy® Award winning singer/songwriter Jennifer Gasoi for an intimate evening of music to inspire, uplift and comfort during this time of great change and uncertainty. 5 pm PST/ 8 pm EST

Experience an intimate concert of original songs (and some beloved covers) under the Strawberry full moon. I will sing, play piano, ukulele, and some of my favourite 'magical' instruments. This concert will be dedicated to honouring what we are individually and collectively going through during this time. In some way we are all experiencing loss- whether it is the physical loss of loved ones, a loss of jobs, stability, beliefs, or a certain way of being. I will play songs that touch on grief and impermanence, yet I will also include those that remind us of the beauty and wonder of life. You are invited to show up as you are, to experience an evening of love, illumination, healing and comfort.

What to bring:

  • You are welcome to have a paper and pen handy during the concert- in case any ideas or illuminations come to you.
  • Please bring a candle and a lighter or matches. We will light the candles together at the beginning of the concert.

The format will be as follows:

  • Setting sacred space with a brief crystal bowl meditation and candle lighting
  • The concert
  • Closing the space with gratitude and some toning together (this is optional, you are welcome to simply listen)

I look forward to seeing you under the Strawberry Moon!

In case you're interested, here is a little info about who I am:

Grammy® Award Winner and two-time JUNO nominated singer/songwriter Jennifer Gasoi is one of Canada’s most acclaimed children’s performers and recording artists. Jennifer has a unique gift for writing and performing upbeat, intelligent, jazz and world-based children’s songs that adults love too. Her ability to appeal to kids and adults alike is one of Jennifer’s most unique and endearing qualities.

Throughout her career Jennifer has also found great joy and fulfillment in playing the “oldies” in hospitals, seniors homes and residences. It is through this work that she discovered an ability and calling to be at the bedside of those who are dying. She has found that playing music during this time brings a sacredness, a beauty to the end of life- for those who are dying and also their loved ones. Jennifer recently completed her certification to become an End of Life Doula through the Conscious Dying Institute. She has discovered that embracing impermanence can bring a renewed passion for living and she hopes to inspire others to live a life filled with passion and purpose.
