Death Cafe with The Wrinkle Project

Does a fear of death stop us from living fully? Can talking about death help us to lead lives with greater meaning and purpose?

The mission of The Wrinkle Project is to change the way we see aging and reframe growing older as a process that begins when people are born and ends when they die. A focus on aging throughout the life continuum creates an awareness of how human beings can support each other with more compassion and respect as they develop.

At a Death Cafe, people gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. The objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their finite lives.

The Death Cafe is one of the cornerstones of The Wrinkle Project. We are studying the premise that by sharing feelings and thoughts about death, people will look forward to living deeper, more focused and purposeful lives. In turn, this will lead to a greater awareness and positivity to the aging process.

If you have questions to ask and stories to share, please join us for an unscripted conversation as we move from proximity to death to purpose and legacy in life. We’ll supply yummy desserts and drinks!
