Icons in Ash, Reimagine Death: Songs about dying, death, grieving, mourning and consolation
Red Room at KGBbar and Icons in Ash

Icons in Ash, Reimagine Death an evening with songs about dying, death, mourning, grieving, and consoling. This event is inspired by Heide Hatry's portraits made of cremated remains. Icons in Ash wants to reintegrate life and death: to touch death, work with death, to let it speak in its mundanity, its grandeur, its familiarity and its mystery, its uniqueness and its universality, to redeem it from oblivion, to give it its own life again.
Musicians include: Queen Esther, John Hudak, Christine Isherwood, Hot Glue & The Gun (Carrie Klein and Joel McGlynn), Jane LeCroy, Joel Simpson, and others.
Please find more information about the event and the participants at The Red Room or Heide Hatry.
NOTE: The event is free, but there is a 2 drink minimum.
