Mourner's Corner

Hosted by

Sandi DuBowski

Mourner's Corner is a pop-up for our open broken hearts, held in a NYC park.

Mourner's Corner is a ritual I created when my Dad died in Winter of last year. Held in the NYC AIDS Memorial Park, we gather to honor the loved ones we have lost, stand and support dear friends and strangers in mourning, share poems and songs, and say the Kaddish, the Jewish Mourner's Prayer. It is a circle of love and comfort for our open broken hearts. In a time of collective grief and mourning in our city and country, this is a pop-up public embrace of one another.
