Food for Thought: A Poetic Medicine Event

Food for Thought: A Poetic Medicine Event
A 90 minute reading of poetry written and read by participants of the UCSF MERI Center's poetic medicine workshops during the pandemic. Hear what resonated for us during these difficult times.

A collaboration of Re-Imagine and the MERI Center for Education in Palliative Care at UCSF/Mt Zion

“Poetry is simply speaking truth” (Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen)

Please join us for a Reading of poetry written since April 2020 during the COVID pandemic, by attendees of two “poetic medicine” weekly workshops, offered by the MERI Center.

“Food for Thought” has been a general poetry session each Friday and “Loss, Losing and Loosening” has been a Tuesday group specifically focused on grief and loss. In listening and sharing what resonates with us, we have formed a vibrant, caring community.

For more information or to join either of these groups: https://Meri.ucsf.edu

This event will include time at the end for others to share a short poem they have written during the pandemic as well!
