This month's lab explores the theme of Surviving a Sibling. How can we allow grief and pain to be present for ourselves and for others without getting either swept away or shut down?

Connection Without Compromise: How to be present for yourself and others without sinking or flying away

Navigating the loss of a sibling or being there for those who have done so can look like an impossible road. Often grief shows up in our system at the gut and heart level. For ourselves, going on can feel, well, wrong somehow. And when we’re trying to be present for grieving siblings, it’s hard to know what to say; the discomfort can run so deep.

This lab explores the different ways we can experience connection, both with ourselves and others, without compromising our ability to think and feel clearly and cleanly; without compromising our selves.

Join us for February’s online Embodiment Lab to explore:

  • The different ways you might experience the “hit” of grief
  • What might shift as you allow the hit to land, but not on you
  • Feeling aligned and compassionate toward your own grief or the grief that others are experiencing

Discover the positive impact of embodied awareness. During these interactive sessions we explore the inseparable connection of body and mind to provide you with practical tools you will use throughout your day. Navigate your challenges with more ease by shifting from head-centric to whole-system awareness.

This is a great way to introduce yourself to the unique makeup of your nervous system: how it reacts to the world and what it needs to shift into your inner support system. Having your body “top of mind” enables you to better manage stress, know and care for your health and well being, and communicate well with others.

We call these sessions “Labs” to emphasize our focus on exploration and experimentation. The Labs provide you with skills and tools, not concrete answers . . . Open yourself to curiosity and connection that lead to new ways of getting to know yourself!

What to expect:

  • Guided embodied practices
  • Exchanging discoveries
  • Applying tools and insights to your daily life

PLEASE NOTE: These labs are NOT RECORDED. Each lab is a unique, personal experience that enables discovery and develops insight. We are offering our time to learn and grow with community and ask in return that you attend with a minimum of audio sharing, with video and audio ideally both open! Thank you :)
