Creating a Family Dynamic for a Loved One’s End of Life Care
Hosted by Dr. Seth E. Francois
In our lives, sometimes we are faced with the unexpected responsibility of caring for a loved one.
No, you did not ask for the job, but because of your family dynamics, you are the chosen one and capable one of leading the care of a family member or friend. You find that those that should have an interest and stake in the care are not available or unwilling to come to the aid of the loved one. Doing it alone can be overwhelming, and the resources are limited. The hours are long. The appreciation is low. And the help is nowhere to be found.
The workshop will cover how to establish a care team, day-to-day care development, medication management, how to locate resources, modifying a home to accommodate care, financial management and planning, family dynamics, self-care, and support, keeping focused, and thinking ahead to provide support care.
This workshop is hosted by Dr. Seth E. Francois, who holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a Specialization in Leadership, a Master of Arts in Human Resources, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Dr. Seth's dissertation "Trust in Union Leaders, and Decline in Union Membership" has twice been published and was selected to be presented at MBAA International Symposium 2018.
