Italian healthcare professionals will meet virtually to harness the healing power of shared memories, grief and hope through the science of narrative medicine. The event will be held in Italian.

This event will be held in Italian. Covid-19’s pandemic has hit health care professionals like an unprecedented physical and emotional Tsunami. Through the power of narrative medicine, we will discover what death can teach us to make us better human beings and professionals .

We will learn how to cope with loss, grief and bereavement through presence and wonder, through sharing memories and by bearing witness for future generations of healthcare professionals.

The event will be hosted by dr. Kira Stellato, PhD and co-hosted by Raffaellla Antonione, MD. Kira is a licensed social & health psychologist and a meditation teacher with a PhD in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences. Published author, educator and International speaker, she has been collaborating for several years with the Advanced Heart Failure Clinic in Trieste. Raffaella Antonione is an internist, a docent and holds a Master’s in advanced palliative care. She is a regional coordinator of the Italian Society for Palliative Care and a member of the European Association for Palliative Care.
