Recognizing Grief as a Manager
As managers, people leaders and HR, we are not taught how to address grief at work. In fact, we are often taught the opposite - ignore it. Or worse, as we're taught that our job as managers is to problem solve, we try to fix it. It’s no wonder why grieving employees feel disconnected and disengaged.
Grief Warrior's work brings recognition, respect and reconnection to the grieving. Our Founder, Leslie Barber, began this work after the 2015 death of her husband, Steve, and the resulting experiences she had grieving in her work environment. Grief Warrior gives HR and managers the tools to embrace and handle the discomfort of grief, including their own.
This workshop has never before been offered to the public. We will be conducting our 90-minute experiential training – Recognizing Grief as a Manager - for any HR and people leaders. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn how to maintain engagement with grieving employees. Note: we will come back together exactly one week after the first workshop to discuss how things went to help engrain the learnings.
