Virtual Studio Visit: Mark Mitchell's ReImagined Burial
Join curator Keren Ben-Horin to an intimate live virtual visit in artist Mark Mitchell's studio. Mark's textile based art employs intricate couture techniques to explore death, purity, and decay.

Fashion historian and curator Keren Ben-Horin, in collaboration with the Virtual Studio Visit Network and Reimagine, joins contemporary artist Mark Mitchell at his Tucson-based studio for a live conversation. Mark's intricate work includes textile sculptures, installations, burial garments, and performances that explore rituals of mourning, white supremacy, mass incarceration, police brutality, and queer revolution. He is currently working with the concepts of purity and decay as they address craft, politics, and art.
