Sign up for the VIP Halloween Experience of the Before I Die Virtual Festival and get access to all four days of online death positive events, discussions, film & theatre, and Death Cafes.

The 4th annual Before I Die New Mexico Festival is taking place October 30 to November 2, 2020. When you sign up for the Halloween VIP experience, with games, Day of the Dead animated film clips and goodies delivered to participants’ homes, you get all four days of entertaining and educational Festival events, including:

Theatre: Three mortality-related short plays - PLOTS, ULTIMATE PRECISION and ALLOCATING THE JEWELS. Each session will have a live discussion afterward with playwright Robert Benjamin.

Films: CARPET KINGDOM, a short, comedic film about funeral plans gone awry, and “Hearses Through History,” a film clip collection featured at the Halloween VIP event.

Books: Author sessions discussing managing our loved ones’ possessions before and after they die, hospice and medical aid in dying, and dealing with life after a spouse’s death.

Daily Death Cafes: Moderated by Gail Rubin, a pioneer of the Death Cafe movement in the United States.

Expert Discussions: "The Woo-Woo Side" of Death with nationally renowned psychic Tammy J. Holmes and paranormal investigator Matthew Goldman, "Millennial Morticians with ABQ Brews," featuring young funeral directors discussing the business, "Inside New Mexico's Office of the Medical Investigator," "Funeral Directors’ Experiences in COVID Hot Spots," and more.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the nonprofit organizations Fathers Building Futures, making "caskets for a cause," Albuquerque's Historic Fairview Cemetery, and Reimagine.
