The event will begin with an original poem recited by Colorado Poet Laureate Bobby LeFebre on the topic of social memory, memorials and processing grief. Panelists include Renée Ater (Public Scholar and Provost Visiting Professor, African Studies, Brown University), Cortney Lane Stell (Executive Director & Chief Curator, Black Cube), Rafael Lozano-Hemmer (Artist) and Professor James E. Young (Institute for Holocaust Genocide and Memory Studies, University of Massachusetts Amherst).
