Celebrating a Mom You Miss
On these Hallmark holidays, we need connection. Many people are still reeling from the pandemic years, loss of loved ones, and isolation.
This Mother’s Day, we have an opportunity to go beyond a box of chocolates and a store-bought card. We can show the mothers in our lives that we love and appreciate them in a meaningful way that they will not expect.
What if you chose to tell just ONE PERSON — your own mom, your grandmother, your step-mom, your mother-in-law, a friend who is a mom, someone who has been like a mom to you — WHY they have made a difference in your life. (If you want, you can also express your love for a mom who has passed away.)
As part of Sherry's "Say It Now" work, she hosts workshops in which she leads people through a simple, but profound, process of creating what she calls a LOVE LIST.
A LOVE LIST is a brainstorm of all the reasons you love someone and what makes them unique. A LOVE LIST is sweet funny or serious. It can include any number — from five to fifteen to fifty — of loving attributes characteristics or memories about someone and what they mean to you.
During this workshop, Sherry will lead you through prompts and questions to help you easily and joyfully create a LOVE LIST gift for someone in your life — even if they have passed away.
One of the best things about this gift is that it doesn’t cost any money to create. Also, it makes a beautiful last-minute gift. And is perfect for long-distance gift giving!
