From Sadness to Strength: Loss, Faith, & Healing
In her quest to understand the loss of her first child, Elissa Felder delved deeply into sacred Jewish customs and teachings on death, mourning, and the afterlife. Decades later, she is a treasured speaker and author, sharing what she’s learned and empowering others to find meaning, purpose, and possibility in life.
Join us for an in-person gathering at Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco, the Bay Area’s nonprofit Jewish funeral home. Elissa will speak from her unique Jewish perspective on how faith can help us move forward from loss.
Elissa grew up in London, married an American, and raised her family on the East Coast. She is an active board member of JADE (Jewish Association of Death Education), a leader in her local Chevra Kadisha, and Founding Director of Core Connects RI.
We aim to provide a space for reflection and growth. Please RSVP in advance—our security team will check registration at the door. Can’t make it on Wednesday, Sept 10? Join us the night before on Tuesday, Sept 9 at Sinai Memorial in San Francisco.
Sponsors include Jewish Study Network, JADE, Sinai Memorial Chapel, South Bay Chevra Kadisha and the Oshman Family JCC
