Grief Off-Roading: Exploring New Perspectives
A weekly circle for griefwalkers who are ready to leave the paved road behind. Most of what we are handed about grief arrives as a map: five stages, a marked route, a finish line where you are meant to arrive - someone else's destination. Grief rarely follows maps. This is a group for going off-road, for exploring the actual terrain of your grief rather than the route someone else drew for you.
Together we will try on new perspectives, ones that may differ from what we have been told grief should look like. Grief is a passage that changes us, not a sickness to be cured. The bond does not end; it transforms. The way through is made by walking it, which means you can make your own way. We carry a lantern, not a map.
Some weeks the terrain is rough. Some weeks we ride the edge of the abyss. Some weeks a horizon opens that we could never have seen from the road. Either way, you are not exploring alone. We move into the unfamiliar together, and we witness what each of us finds there.
Grief is the living response to absence and change. There is no direct pathway through it. So we stop searching for the established roadways, and we start exploring the open, unexplored landscapes of grief. Bring your curiosity. Bring your questions. Bring your grief. The horizon is wide, and it is yours. Burn your maps.
