Grief Through Ritual + Incense

Hosted by BACII

Grief Through Ritual + Incense
As we acknowledge our collective grief, we can learn how to honor grief through ritual and the power of incense.

Mangda from BACII and Jennifer from Magixstyx invites you to explore grief through ritual and the power of incense. This gathering is designed to educate and guide you through the history, purpose, and techniques for using incense as a helpful tool in navigating your grief. We will also introduce LAMENT— a speciality handcrafted incense blend created by Mangda and Jennifer intended to be of support and comfort during times of change and loss -- uniting us all in our mourning.

About Mangda

Mangda Sengvanhpheng is an artist, death doula, and the founder of BACII - a platform that focuses on loss and grief while providing services and offerings that renew our engagement to life. Her life and death work is guided by her Lao last name, which means "the light of the full moon." Mangda's work has been featured in Vice, Vogue, NY Mag's Curbed, Brydie, Charcruna Institute and more.

About Jennifer

Jennifer is an incense artisan. Her journey into the world of incense began during her childhood, where she regularly burned incense with family at home and at the Buddhist temple. These fragrant rituals held significant meaning, from honoring ancestors to safeguarding homes and blessing unions. Through ceremonies, these practices represent a bridge between past and future generations and are vital for preserving cultural heritage.
