Integrating Mediumship into Compassionate End-of-Life Care
The cultural taboo and stigma around after-death communication can make this longed for and affirming connection confusing and even disturbing.
We imagine a world where mediumship and talking directly to our dead loved ones is accepted and part of an integrated approach to end-of-life care and bereavement support.
Join us to learn how after-death communication is understood by science and fits into the wider context of the emerging scientific paradigm. Hear real-life stories of hope and healing from a medium and re-imagine with us how continuing bonds with the deceased can transform how we see death.

Kat Houghton PhD is a psychologist who found her formal education unable to account for her spiritual experiences after the death of her partner, Tyler. This lead her on a journey though shamanism, grief, ritual and the science of the afterlife into an expanded worldview. She now guides wilderness rites of passage programs, tells old Celtic stories and teaches about the Science of the Afterlife and Grief online.
Bethany Ward began her career in Unitarian Universalist congregational ministry. Her path deepened while working as a Burial Steward within the green burial movement, where she first experienced the awakenings of her mediumship abilities. Trained in Spiritual Direction at the Haden Institute and in Evidential Mediumship by the world-renown English medium Mavis Pittilla, Bethany now focuses on guiding individuals through life’s most significant transitions with empathy and spiritual insight. Through her practice, Bethany fosters connections between the seen and unseen, enriching lives through a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment.
