When you lose your job, you don't lose one thing.
It's your routine. Your identity. Your financial security. Your social structure. Your daily purpose. Your sense of control.
All gone. Same day.
Career services say network more. Therapy says feel your feelings. Nobody tells you how to do both at once.
Job Loss Grief Circles are a monthly gathering where "I can't concentrate" gets the same respect as "I applied to 47 jobs this week." Where we name all the losses instead of pretending only one matters.
This circle is for people who are done white-knuckling their way through gatherings. We'll practice phrases that protect your energy without shutting people out. Map the difference between support that steadies you and input that destabilizes you. Name the advice that sounds like wisdom but lands like pressure.
Not therapy. Not career coaching.
A peer space where the brutal middle: between what was and what's next: gets treated like the sacred ground it is.
Bring your anger, your relief, your confusion, your fear. Bring whatever's true.
We'll sit with it together.
You haven't failed. You might be grieving. There's a difference.
