Fall 2021 Grief/Growth/Action Festival offered a chance to highlight an Action Step we may have taken in our grief journey. Our conversation continues about taking action after experiencing loss and grief.
Episode 2 continues our series of monthly interviews with individuals sharing their story. Guest Speakers tell us how they are taking action and answer the same last Q: What lies ahead in your Action Plan?
Abby Walters will share how she started writing after the loss of family members. She invites us to bring photographs of a loved one you have lost. She will lead a short writing exercise (poetry, prose, journal entry, word puzzle...). Sharing is welcome.
Host: Lily Liu, Caregiver
Guest: Abby Walters, MSW, has set a goal in retirement: writing about her family in its early years. After a career working in government and nonprofits focused on the wellbeing of older adults, she volunteers with an organization helping seniors, and enjoys writing, photography, and walking her two small dogs.
