Poetic Medicine for Grief: Creating Safe Spaces for Diverse Stories
Chinese American Workshops in English
Use poetry in community as a path to healing. Join us for three poetic medicine sessions to help process your grief in this novel UCSF study.
Grief is a part of life and poetry can be a language for grief. “Poem-making,” especially in community, can be a powerful way of expressing feelings and healing our hearts. In these sessions you will have the opportunity to listen to inspirational poems and create your own, in a safe and structured space.
Please join the UCSF MERI Center for this creative adventure together.
You must attend all three sessions on 3/31, 4/7 and 4/28
What will participants be asked to do?
- Attend three 1-hour poetic medicine for grief workshops
- Take two surveys
- Complete an exit interview
Who can join?
- People who self-identify as Chinese American and grieving the loss of a loved one
Please note this workshop will be conducting in English only.
You will receive $75 gift card for completing the study.
