Everyone has a story. Our experiences make us who we are. In this podcast series, Grief Coach Jenny Dilts invites people to share their stories as we discover the extraordinary in ordinary people and explore humanity one heart at a time.

Joining us this time is John Vogels whose three-year-old-son drowned in a pond. Because of his experience, he came into contact with others who were also navigating the tragedy of losing a child. As a result, he started the nonprofit organization Martyred Angels Foundation as a community resource support network for people whose children have died. One of the main sources of therapy they use in the Foundation is equestrian therapy.

In this episode we will learn more about John’s journey and how horses are excellent therapists.

The death of a child can be one of the most traumatic experiences one can face. When a child dies we not only grieve that person, we grieve their future, and our identity that is the role we have in our relationship with them. This episode is dedicated to all of our angels who have preceded us in our transitions into our next phase of life.
