It allows people to walk in his shoes by sharing his deepest, most personal relationship with a woman suffering from Stage IV cancer until she transitioned. This intimate story provides many life lessons such as the importance of keeping hope alive, embracing life, honoring the wishes of the patient, even though you might not agree, overcoming the challenges of navigating the health care system, and standing strong in one’s truth even when totally scared.  

He wrote the book to honor the life of Gayle and their love for each other. Although brief, Larry considers his relationship with Gayle as one of the most profound experiences of his life. He also hopes 126 Days, 11 Minutes inspires others to say "yes" to love even when logic says, "no." Larry believes there are many beautiful souls who are looking to discover and experience unconditional love. His book shows it is possible.
