Tending the Unseen Grief of Stigmatized Sibling Loss

Not all grief is met with compassion. When a sibling dies due to suicide, overdose, incarceration, murder, as a result of an eating disorder, or other stigmatized causes, survivors are often left to carry a complex and invisible grief alone.
This 60-minute virtual grief-tending circle is a space where surviving siblings can bring their whole truth—without judgment, platitudes, or the need to sanitize their story. Together, we will tend to the weight of grief that’s lived in the shadows, explore the intersections of sibling identity and stigmatized loss, and reclaim our right to grieve out loud.
Who This Is For
This space is for anyone who has lost a sibling to a stigmatized or complicated death, including but not limited to:
- Suicide
- Substance use or overdose
- Fentanyl poisoning
- Incarceration-related deaths
- Death as a result of an eating disorder
- Death following trauma or abuse
- Mental illness-related deaths
- Siblings who weren’t publicly acknowledged or supported
All genders, backgrounds, and sibling experiences are welcome—including step, half, chosen, or estranged siblings. You don’t need to have been close to your sibling to grieve them.
Accessibility & Pricing
We offer this gathering on a sliding scale of $0–30, with no explanation needed for your selection. We trust you to pay what feels supportive and sustainable.
Why This Gathering Matters
This gathering invites deeper truth-telling, community ritual, and tending to the shame that often clings to stigmatized losses. It’s intimate, raw, and deeply affirming.
We center the experiences of siblings navigating stigmatized or complicated losses—those often weighed down by silence, shame, or misunderstanding. Here, your grief doesn't have to be justified or made palatable.
Through community ritual, reflective practice, and compassionate witnessing, we’ll tend to the layered realities of sibling loss with gentleness and truth. This is a space for raw honesty, quiet presence, and collective care. You don’t have to carry it alone anymore.
