End of Life Choices New York presents:

Your Health, Your Values: A Conversation About Honoring Your Family's Wishes for Care

Description:

This virtual Zoom-based workshop will provide information, resources, and support for immigrant families to help ensure their family receives medical care that is aligned with their values. The workshop will focus on supporting older adults and their families, but all are welcome. The first half of the workshop will be a presentation, and the second half will be a conversation where you will have a chance to ask questions.

Presenters:

Our presenters will be Tida Beattie and Roshni Kavate. Tida Beattie is Thai-American and is training to be an eldercare consultant and end of life doula. Roshni Kavate is Indian-American and is a palliative care nurse. Together, they work to create space to share and honor immigrant experiences with the US healthcare system at the end of life.
