Justin Michael Williams will close the Summit

Last week we promised you one more name. Here it is.
Justin Michael Williams will close the Reimagine Summit. On October 15 he takes the Main Stage at 2:10 PM PT (5:10 PM ET) with From Grief to Growth: We Are Enough, the last session before the Closing Honor Ceremony, when we name the people we are grieving and put the candles out together.
Who he is
Justin is a best-selling author, a Grammy-nominated recording artist and an award-winning keynote speaker. GRAMMY.com has called him an “inspirational powerhouse.” He is the author of Stay Woke: A Meditation Guide for the Rest of Us, he has spoken for Google, Apple, Forbes, Bloomberg, SXSW and Essence, and he has shared the stage with Marianne Williamson.
As his bio puts it, he grew up “with gunshot holes outside his bedroom window.” He has spent his life since helping people “transform pain into power,” at the place where music, mindset and human potential meet.
Why we asked him to close the day
Reimagine was built on the idea that we do not have to carry loss alone, and that the things we make out of it, a song, a ritual, a story told out loud, can hold us in ways that advice cannot. Justin works exactly that way. His keynote is story, music and a live performance, all in one session, and it is the right note to end a day like this one.
He also has his own story about how loss changed the direction of his life. We are not going to tell it here. It is his to tell, and October 15 is when he will tell it.
What to expect
Justin ends his keynote with a short practice for everyone watching: a thank-you letter to your future self. You imagine you have said yes to yourself and followed through on what matters most, and you thank yourself for it. The letter comes back to you by email toward the end of the year, a small surprise from you, to you.
If you want a sense of his music before then, start with “I Am Enough.”
A full Main Stage
Justin joins a Main Stage that already carries Meggan Roxanne, who founded The Good Quote and whose first book became a Sunday Times bestseller; Keltie Knight, the three-time Emmy winner and E! host; and Kelly Cervantes, author of Normal Broken and The Luckiest, with Miguel Cervantes, who originated the title role in the Chicago production of Hamilton and later played it on Broadway. Around them are more than fifty voices across seven tracks, from creative workshops to peer-led support rooms.
Come for the whole day, or come for the last hour. Both count.
