The Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation was founded in 2004 as an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization, working on behalf of the nurse practitioner profession to ake high quality, effective healthcare accessible in the US and globally. The Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation was founded in 2004 as an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization, working on behalf of the nurse practitioner profession to ake high quality, effective healthcare accessible in the US and globally. We strive to: a) eliminate health disparities; b) enhance NP leadership in healthcare; c) promote research opportunities to improbve health outcomes; d) facilitate policy analysis to improve health outcomes and care delivery. Our programs focus on interprofessional collaboration, providing training in national and international priority areas of health, leading change in the healthcare system, developing best practices to improve care. Examples of our work include: white papers to highlight key topics of health policy, policy fellowships, scholarships for NP students, consumer education, and interprofessional education.
