how we experience after loss. Our hope is to ultimately help give families the space to grieve, either by facilitating personalized end-of life planning or by helping manage the unavoidable logistics of after loss.
Our Story
Some days I feel like a real-life Little Orphan Annie whose life should be subtitled “Death Becomes Her.” When I was 16, my father passed away at the age of 48. A few years later, my mother passed away which left me as the caregiver for my uncle. Last fall, my uncle passed away and I’ve recently assumed the role of administering his estate.

I’ve been there and I have been totally overwhelmed by all the work that came with managing the business of death. Each task has been a learning experience, which I’ve tried to approach with humor and laughter, knowing it truly is the best medicine.
I founded Black Dress Consultants to help those in the same difficult position. Our mission is to provide solutions for life's transitions and to serve as your ally end-of-life planning and guide for navigating after loss. We meet the client where they are to provide solutions for life's transitions.
