I'm Lisa Sniderman, award-winning artist (Aoede), playwright, author, filmmaker who has battled rare chronic illness, progressive muscle weakness autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis, for more than 13 years, while obsessively creating to express and to heal. I realized in all this time, through creating albums, musicals, films, and even my memoir, I forgot to grieve... and realized through music I could reach and empower others who may have forgotten to grieve... so I created The Grieving Project. Helping others struggling with chronic illness gives me purpose. In July 2020, I held a free two-week virtual summit to help others with chronic illness thrive, attended by 1,800 participants. I released "The Grieving Project" (Aug 2020), a powerful spoken word musical audiobook that sets the stages of grief to music. For more info: https://alightinthedarkness.info/the-grieving-project
