Madeline or Maddie as most people knew her changed the hearts, minds, and lives of thousands of people from all over the world. She suffered from a terminal genetic disease, Zellweger Syndrome, which caused life altering health complications including advanced liver failure and congestive heart failure. Despite all of the obstacles in her way, little Maddie became a beacon of hope for so many people fighting unthinkable battles. Her ability to always push past the barrier of the possible, made her an incredible teacher and role model.
