Show & Tale: Passed & Present

Hosted by Show & Tales, Victoria Noe, In honor of My Dad & all my beautiful friends with Victoria Noe

Show & Tale: Passed & Present
How do you keep the memory of your loved ones alive? What photo or object holds a piece of your late loved ones story? Join friend grief expert Victoria Noe & me to remember together.

How do you keep the memory of your loved ones alive?

Whether your loss was recent or from long ago… grief stays.

Join my co-host, author and friend grief expert, Viki Noe, and I for an afternoon of honoring & celebrating our dearly departed through the things we keep.

I "met" Viki when I visited the Bureau of General Services - Queer Division bookstore inside The Center in NYC many moons ago and picked up a postcard for her up & coming book Fag Hags, Divas and Moms. I think I still have that postcard somewhere.

We will be joined by a few others from the Global Grief Conference sharing the Things they keep that holds a piece of a loved ones memory.

Show & Tale created this particular theme because we were honored to be featured in Allison Gilbert’s book Passed & Present: Keeping Memories of Loved Ones Alive.

Show & Tale is like Antiques Roadshow meets The Moth, or your favorite Pinterest board come to life!

Everyone is welcome to share the story of the thing they brought. No judges, no prizes, no competition. And no need to practice! Just Show your object and share its Tale.

Remember you don’t have to show and tell. . . you can just look and listen; observers are always welcome!

This event is in honor of My Dad & all my beautiful friends with Victoria Noe

Have you kept mementos of your loved ones lost? Photos, aprons, clothing, kitchen gadgets, paintings, jewelry, locks of hair, baby teeth, ashes…? Do they help you keep the memory of your loved one alive?

Join author & friend grief expert Viki Noe & me for an afternoon of story-sharing to honor and celebrate our loved passed so we can keep them present.

Do you keep cards, letters and thank you notes that you read, over and over, because they inspire you to persevere and keep going? Or do you have a favorite recipe you make when you’re feeling down or want to remember? Every Thing has a story.

It’s like the Antiques Roadshow meets The Moth, or your favorite Pinterest board come to life!

Everyone is welcome to share a story of a Thing that matters. No judges, no prizes, no competition. And no need to practice! Just show your object and share its tale.

Just want to come and listen? Awesome! Observers always welcome!

Show & Tale is featured in Allison Gilbert's new book Passed & Present: Keeping Memories of Loved Ones Alive ... we're partnering on a unique book "launch" event... asking people to bring photos & objects that help them keep the memory of their loved one alive!

An accomplished public speaker, she has presented at ACT UP/London, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and Book Expo America. During the pandemic she has led online writing groups focusing on grief. Noe is returning to her original series, with Friend Grief and COVID: Pandemic Stories, about people who have lost a friend during the pandemic.
