Death FAQ

Death FAQ
What are the most pressing questions you have about end of life? Five end of life experts will take the stage to take your questions and answer some of the most daunting questions we face.

Come early to enjoy the Reimagine Community Gatherings before this event. These special Gatherings are an opportunity for the community to connect at our inviting Reimagine Hub space for conversations, meaningful connections, and special program offerings. The Community Gatherings will be open between 5pm-7:30pm! See featured programming for the night here.

For the past eight years, Death Over Dinner has been researching death questions, cataloging and testing the most pressing questions we have about end of life. A year ago we started asking dozens of end of life experts these questions and recording their remarkable answers. In preparation for the the release of DEATH FAQ, we are hosting a lively evening - of questions, answers and general exploration - with some of our brilliant friends.

Please join Michael Hebb and a panel of his friends as we consider the questions that keep us up at night. Ticket holders will be able to submit questions to the panel prior to the event. Michael will be joined by Dr. Joon Yun, Dr. Dawn Gross, Sandy Gibson, Alua Arthur, Brad Wolfe, and some surprise guests.

Michael Hebb is a partner at RoundGlass and the Founder of www.deathoverdinner.org. His book Let’s Talk About Death (Over Dinner) was published by Hachette in the US 2018 and is now available in India, Russia, China, Poland, Indonesia, Romania, Australia and the U.K.

Dawn Gross, MD, PhD is a Hospice & Palliative medicine physician committed to transforming the taboo around talking about death. Some of the ways this shows up: creator and host of Dying To Talk radio; founder/CEO of Dyalogues, PBC an education and training company that supports people in having courageous conversations that begin with the end in mind, and co-creator of DeathEd for high school students, because abstinence is not an option.

Dr. Joon Yun is President and Managing Partner of Palo Alto Investors LP, a healthcare hedge fund founded in 1989. Board certified in radiology, Joon served on the clinical faculty at Stanford from 2000-2006. Joon has served on numerous boards, and he is currently a trustee of the Salk Institute. Joon is a member of the President's Circle of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Sandy Gibson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Better Place Forests. As the first sustainable alternative to cemeteries, Better Place Forests helps permanently protect some of America’s most iconic forests as memorial conservation areas.

Alua Arthur is a death doula, attorney, and Founder of Going with Grace, an end of life planning, training, and support organization. From private end of life consultations to online courses to train death doulas, she is tirelessly committed to bringing awareness to death and dying.

Brad Wolfe is Reimagine’s founder and executive director. Before becoming a nonprofit, Reimagine was initially inspired by OpenIDEO’s End of Life Challenge, and was led by Brad as part of an OpenIDEO project exploring art and end of life. Brad also founded the Sunbeam Foundation for pediatric cancer research in memory of friend, Sara L.
