Witness me complete a death ritual in memory of my relationship with a soulmate and the version of me that existed in that space and time.
Colors of Death is a solo performance that parallels the steps for preparing for, ritualizing and grieving physical death with honoring a spiritual death. As many layers of myself began to shed and versions of me died, along with it went my relationship with my best friend. Here, I use my experience with this spiritual death to expand our notion of how we can healthy grief all types of endings, through surrender and ritual. I am studying to be a funeral director. I recently created a free death care guide for NYC and I have youtube where I discuss death care topics.
