At this virtual Death Cafe five people who are motherless will join together in a safe and intimate space to discuss death and life. This Death Cafe will be a group directed discussion with no agenda, objectives or themes. It will not be a grief, support or counseling group. The objective of the Death Cafe movement is "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their finite lives."


About the host: Betsy Trapasso is an end of life guide and advocate. As a guide, she assists the dying in making a peaceful transition from this world. She also supports the families and caregivers throughout the dying process. As an advocate, she speaks and educates about end of life issues in order to change how we view and do death.

Betsy is the creator of "Death and the Arts," which brings people together from all over the world to explore the intersection of death, life, and the arts. As the host of the "Interviews with the Influential" podcast, Betsy interviews politicians and the influential about end of life and social issues. She is also the hostess of Death Café Los Angeles and the creator of End of Life VR.

Betsy has a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. She worked in the hospice, mental health and health care fields until she began her practice as an end of life guide and advocate in Los Angeles. Betsy was a speaker at TEDxMalibu and she has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Forbes, Fortune, MSN, Vice, KTLA TV and in international publications.
